CHIMPANZEE FUNDRAISER, Oct. 2nd
September 16th, 2009

ChimpChimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest (CSNW) is currently home to seven chimpanzees released from biomedical research. This group, the Cle Elum Seven, arrived at the sanctuary on June 13, 2008.  The chimpanzee’s sew, paint art and seem pretty active.

They traveled across the country from a laboratory in Pennsylvania and arrived at CSNW on June 13, 2008. For the majority of their lives, they were used by the biomedical research industry for Hepatitis vaccine trials and for the last several years, before coming to sanctuary, the chimpanzees were housed in a windowless basement of a laboratory with no access to the outdoors.

Now you can celebrate and help the Seven, on October 2, 2009 at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center in Seattle – a benefit for the Cle Elum Seven chimpanzees living at Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest.  Visit www.chimpsanctuarynw.org for more information.
