Thank you so much to everyone who showed up to show us love as we rang the bells for The Salvation Army’s Annual Celebrity Bell Ringing Event! It was a record setting day raising $19,500!!! The Ladies Room was joined by Sheryl Swoopes from the Seattle Storm and legendary Seahawk, Warren Moon! Okay… so no fists were thrown but three women did have to fight over tickets for Britney’s concert in April! Brooke and Monti set it up that we had three contestants and two pairs of tickets, so the three women had to decide which two got the tickets. And when the women finally came to a decision, the lady who got nothing was in for a special surprise!!!

The Ladies Room got an email from Sadiqa Sakin, the Founder of World of Hearts, about Becky, a local woman who doesn’t qualify for help but is struggling to make ends meet! So Brooke and Monti stepped in to help and it didn’t stop there!

After hearing Becky’s story on-air, you guys responded and the outpour of love has not stopped! The Zebra Club is donating 50% of today’s proceeds from three of their locations (Downtown Seattle, Capital Hill, and Bellevue) to Becky and her family, so you can help by swinging by a Zebra Club location and pick something up for yourself while helping, just mention you heard Becky’s story on The Ladies Room, MOViN 92.5!

Plus listener Lee is donating warm winter coats for the kids AND got Becky a mani/pedi and a gift certificate to Safeway! Dusty emailed in to offer to make a car payment for Becky. And Jasmine, who works for Seattle Bike Supply, offered to donate a 12″ Redline bike to Becky’s 4-year-old son, which just happens to be the bike he wants!!! Too perfect!

It’s not over yet! Penguin Windows teamed up with World of Hearts and is taking care of Christmas! Becky and her family will not only have a beautiful holiday to remember but Penguin Windows is also making sure that they can be home for the holidays. Penguin Windows is paying 1/2 of Becky’s December rent. They were so inspired that they are also helping 2 other families in our community!

Last week the Ladies got an email from Stacey about her dream to meet the New Kids on the Block, she described herself as a full on ‘Blockhead!’ Well, Stacey won the ultimate prize package to go to the concert PLUS backstage for a tour, dinner and a meet ‘n greet with NKOTB!!
