Shyan tells us that parents need to take responsiblity for their kids! Take control, you can get information on local gangs in your area at community centers or from your kids' schools; and start asking your kids questions. . Plus Selah is also furthering his community outreach by partnering his company with the Boys & Girls Club of King County and the Dr. Maxine Mimms Academies for Suspended and Expelled Youth. . Selah says, "Inner-city violence is connected to what's happening in the rest of the world - especially to the economy. Kids are trying to find a way to fend for themselves and the gang process is an end-result of a bigger issue. The community needs to become more engaged as a whole." .
