In 2005, Shallon tipped the scales at 309 pounds. She was not in a good place with her life, kids, career, and marriage. She had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and staph when her doctor informed her that if she did not do something about her weight she would not be around for her babies. It devastated her. Since then, Shallon has lost an incredible 190 pounds with only…ONLY diet and exercise. Hear her story in the podcast below.

How she lost the weight (in Shallon’s words)
I do not do this on my own. I have a trainer to kick my old lady butt, a nutritionist who helps me get lean, a masseuse that works out the kinks, a chiropractor, a medical doc to watch thyroid, proteins, kidney function and other important stuff, a posing coach that helps me not look a squatting bear in the forest when I pose, a women’s fitness team of ladies who I am with weekly and are all inspiring, and gym friends who are there even if I am not or whether they want to be and some are there because they know I need them to accomplish my dreams. All, ALL awesome wonderful people.
Now, with my husband…it is that old saying careful what you wish for because you might get it! He is crazy jealous all the time. He gives me lots of attention. He throws things on the floor to see me pick them up I think, and I catch him watching me. It makes me smile and feel good. He likes that I do housework in 5 inch heals for posing practice. He thinks its hot!

With the extra weight comes excess skin/flab. As the weight begins to come off, even with exercise, the excess skin still hangs around. I know the skin is not as elastic as we get older but curious how Shallon was able to firm and tone up completely with no excess skin leftover from the weight loss. Thanks

Seriously? No surgery even after for all the excess skin. Really hard to believe!
