The film festival kicks off with a bang at happening Sodo Park. Enjoy delicious food, taste a variety of refreshing beverages and dance to the timely tunes. Leave your car at the Egyptian Theatre and hop on the big yellow bus, which will provide round trips from the Egyptian Theatre to Sodo Park. Ample parking will also be available.

2. Bainbridge Gardens’ 16th Annual Pumpkin Walk
For many families, the Pumpkin Walk has become a Halloween tradition. Hundreds of people of all ages come to walk along Bainbridge Gardens’ historic Nature Trail, glowing with a grand display of nearly 300 lighted, carved pumpkins. . Kids enjoy our Harvest Hay Maze and jumping in the inflatable Bounce House. You can have your picture taken with the “Great Pumpkin” (he gives out candy too!) and tap your toes to live music.

Join Theo & Laura DeFreitas (Owner of LauraNidra Yoga), for an energizing morning pairing of Yoga and Chocolate. This All Levels Hatha Flow Yoga class will develop your balance, build strength, and increase flexibility. The Chocolate Factory Tour that follows will focus on the health benefits of chocolate that facilitate the body’s ability to rejuvenate and restore after any form of physical activity. No previous yoga experience required. Please bring your own yoga mat and come prepared with an empty stomach and an open mind!

4. Make Sugar Skulls!
Create your own sugar skulls. On Dia de los Muertos, November 1, these icons are used in Hispanic cultures to celebrate those who have gone before. The origin of these small figures remains a mystery. Many references say they have been sold for the Day of the Dead since the mid 18th century, while some records date them as far back as the pre-Hispanic period. Anyone can join in this wonderful artistic tradition. Fee includes two take home skulls.
