RTS is the local affiliate of a national nonprofit organization that brings volunteers together with homeowners to repair the homes of low income families, elderly, or disabled homeowners when they are unable to do home repair themselves and live on a fixed or low income. Repairs can include carpentry, plumbing, electrical, plastering, painting, glazing, weather-stripping, security improvements, trash removal and cleaning. Anyone 16 and older can be a volunteer.

RTS’s IMPACT – 1990 through 2007:

642 homes and community centers have been rehabilitated, involving over 20,000 volunteers and 160,000 hours of volunteer time. Over $3.75 million in improvements have been provided.
